Ad Nauseum...

So our Adsense account was shut down for some reason yesterday and it sucks.

Not just because we're so unclear as to why to account was closed but more so because we almost had enough money in that account to get our intern Chet the used PSP we promised him for his birthday. Sorry Chet.

According the the email we recieved from Google, our AdSense account posed a "Significant risk" to Google's AdWords advertisers. Whatever that means.

Here's the full email that we were sent:

"Hello,

While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense
account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers. Since
keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage our
advertisers in the future, we've decided to disable your account.

Please understand that we consider this a necessary step to protect the
interests of both our advertisers and our other AdSense publishers. We
realize the inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you in advance
for your understanding and cooperation.

If you have any questions about your account or the actions we've taken,
please do not reply to this email. You can find more information by
visiting https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team"

I'm really not sure what that means. I looked around the internets and I found that Google is famously ambiguous when explaining why accounts are closed unless some sort of "illegal click activity" happens, which would have been stated in my letter had that been the case.

In the few minutes I took to researched what the hell happened to the account I only found angry and frustrated people bitching and complaining about how Google screwed them.

So that's that. From now on, we're just gonna cut Google out of the equation and offer ad space to anyone directly. We're gonna reach out to local Baltimore businesses. Places that we actually like, and go to, places that know and love.

Places like Pizza City on Sherwood Road:

Stoko's on York Road:

And of course, Norma Jeans on Baltimore Street:

If you're in Baltimore and you're interested in having your business advertised on Fish And Spaghetti, hit us up at FishandSpaghetti@gmail.com

Operators are standing by.
